Mr. Waldron's and Mr. Cogan's Confirmation Retreat

On the 22/4/15 we visited Ballintubber Abbey for our Confirmation Retreat. We learned more about the Fruits Of The Holy Spirit. We read stories about Jesus using the Fruits Of The Holy Spirit. We designed feet to remind us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. After break we did some quiet prayer lit only by candle light. Then we went for a walk around the grounds and learnt about Sean na Sagart (He was a priest hunter back during the Penal Times). We saw the ruins of the old abbey that have yet to be restored. After that,we were divided into groups of three and did small projects on the Fruits Of The Holy Spirit. Then each group presented their projects in front of the other groups. They involved drawing a picture of the fruits, making a prayer and a synopsis of a story. At the end of the day we all lit a candle to represent the light of God. It was a very good and enjoyable day.
